Project Urban Forest
Planting trees remains one of the cheapest, most effective means of drawing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, that it is why it is our main goal and objective.
We fund carbon offsetting projects through the receipt of donations from businesses and individuals. We offer individuals and organisations opportunities to offset the carbon dioxide their day to day activities, hobbies, and lifestyles may create. Individual and business donations are utilised to secure land and plant trees which help neutralise and/or offset the carbon released into the atmosphere by participating donors. Join our efforts today and help reduce your carbon footprint today.
Cities, in particular Glasgow, have a lack of green space and some of the highest levels of air pollution in Europe?. By planting trees within the urban setting we can help reduce air pollutants and create a more attractive place to live.
Donate today, and we will begin reducing your carbon footprint and offsetting your personal carbon dioxide emissions.
Why plant urban trees
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, a large urban tree provides 10 to 20 times as much ecological benefit as a large forest tree. Trees trap or absorb particle pollution, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. They also generate oxygen and help cool the air and also reduce runoff.
So join us today and help fight the ever increasing levels of harming carbon dioxide and make Glasgow a healthier more attractive city of the future to live in.
Show me some proof
Fair enough, we aren't experts however our pitch is backed up by a report by the Woodlands Trust, Urban Air Quality, 2011. Take a look for yourself.
Some of the latest report suggest we should be doing this sooner rather than later, check this one out!
